Notebook WPF MVVC

Hi everyone,
I have just finished the last big project in the WPF course I’m doing. This one brought me some headaches. Mainly because the instructor clearly has a deep understanding of WPF, but it felt like he took a bigger bite than he could swallow with this app and tried to finish it fast, making it a bit too hectic. However, there are some interesting things that I learned nonetheless. But combining MVVC and the “easy way” makes this project quite a mess. I don’t like it, but honestly, I would rather invest my energy in a more meaningful project than rewriting this one.
My take-aways:
- A deeper understanding of ICommand and INotifyPropertyChange interfaces which is heavily used in this project.
- Some XAML tricks, binding custom events to Static resources, using overlay layouts, several different ways of binding to view model.
- Tricks in managing components through C# as well. Since it’s not really straightforward, especially with RichText…
Other topics practiced in this project:
- SQLite DB
- MVVC pattern
- Login mechanism with creating new users
