Well, this course was thorough. It was a great refresher, and in some ways a deeper dive into what Git has to offer. However, in the current version of this course there is no mention of some important concepts like rebase or cherrypick, which I am very disappointed about. Otherwise, it was great to see the many ways in which Git and Github can be helpful in software development.
Highlights of the course:
- Detailed explanation of working with branches and merges.
- Introduction to implementation of Git in Google service Cooplab.
- Explanation of working in teams on open source projects, and forking in GitHub.
- CI / CD workflows with Microsoft App Center and Circle Ci
